SurLaLune turns 10 this year! I can't believe it has been going so long. I've been busy with real world projects for the first part of the year,
but I want to do some fun things to celebrate the 10 year anniversary. However, it's not fun for me if it's not fun or at least interesting for

I'd definitely vote for including Frog Princess. I've been telling this story to groups from elementary school to adults for years, and I always find
something interesting to think about in the telling. Plus, there are all those great Russian illustrations--even the lacquer boxes. I'd love to help with
annotations, too.

BTW, both "The Steadfast Tin Soldier" and "The Tinderbox" are literary fairy tales, not folk tales. "The Tinderbox" has a number

As far as "The Frog Princess" is concerned, whilst I have no objection to its inclusion, I should warn that "The Princess and the Frog" (as
Disney's "The Frog Princess" is now going to be called) looks to be a light-hearted retelling of "The Frog Prince", albeit with a Cajun
setting and with the princess turning into a frog at one point or another.

Thank you to everyone for your offers to be guest annotators. I've already emailed everyone who has volunteered except for you Mary. Could you email so
we can start a correspondence on the tales that interest you?

My biggest challenge is having enough material to warrant giving a tale its own section but I'm pretty willing to work with a tale if I can get at least
one illustration for it and it holds enough interest for SurLaLune's visitors. I get emails from people...
