Hi all,
I'm new on here, but I was directed here by a friend of mine. I am an author, and this same friend of mine had read an article in The Guardian newspaper recently, in which they had rediscovered an old tale, that of The Turnip Princess. Now, I was given a challenge, which was to read the original only, and then after that, attempt to rewrite it as the printed copy of the original was...somewhat patchy. It's a fun read though!
Now personally, I got a little carried away with an idea, and decided to run with a modern-day version of the story. But there is another rewrite, which I also linked.
I'd be interested to know people's opinions on all. I have linked my sources on my own blog page, which can be found here: http://projectshadowlondon.wordpress.com/
I'd also love to see what people come up with on their own versions. But read the challenge as it is first!
Many thanks for reading!
