The prefaces to the 1812-15 and 1819 editions are translated by Maria Tatar in The Hard Facts of the Grimms' Fairy Tales (Princeton University
Press). The preface to the 1819 edition is translated by Joyce Crick in Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, Selected Tales, Oxford World's Classics (Oxford
University Press). Crick's translation of selected Grimm tales also includes an appendix with some interesting paratexts.
