Hello,
I have been trying to find this book for years for it was my absolute favourite as a child, but unfortunately I haven't yet succeeded. Perhaps someone here will shine some light on this lonely quest.
I had this book in the eighties, and this particular edition was a comic, but I am guessing that it was based on some european fairy tale.
The main character was a princess called Blondina. She was under some sort of enchantment in which she couldn't leave her castle-- and here is where my memory starts to blur. I think that she had to wait a number of years until she could go out, and after that time had passed the prince (who was had been transformed into a white persian cat) and her servant (who had been transformed into a deer) would return to their original forms.
Well, of course the curious girl couldn't wait for the time to pass and in the end she goes out, thus causing the death of both the prince and the servant.
I hope this will ring a bell on someone here, I would be ever so happy! Thank you.
