Hello everyone, I have been lurking on this forum for a long while, but have rarely jumped in. I plan to do so more often, as I am absolutely passionate about
folklore and myth and have been so my entire life. I can honestly say I read just about everything that comes out in this genre - fairy tale adaptations,
collections, scholarly titles, children's books. That being said, I wonder if you all know about a wonderful book site called Librarything.com. It's
kind of like a MySpace for readers, a place to list your library and then make connections with others who share your reading interests. I put my fairytale and
folklore library up last year (look under http://www.librarything.com/profile/malinablue ) and I have met several wonderful folklore enthusiasts.
It's actually pretty easy to list your books. Librarything offers a $15 CatScanner (and it really looks like a little cat!) to simply scan everything in.
Even if you are not looking for fellow readers, it's nice to have a digital version of your library, complete with book covers and all.
Anyway, here again is a link to my own profile. I would love to see more fairytale and folklore collections up there to browse through, so I invite you all to join:
