I am currently doing a research project on Cinderella- primarily, how Charles Perrault's fairytale "Cinderella"
(created in 1729 and originally titled the Little Glass Slipper) has been adapted to suit modern audiences by the BBC and Disney in their own adaptions of the
tale.
I am wondering if anyone has any views on Cinderella-how the tale has been altered within modern adaptations- do you think the same values and morales run throughout? do you think Cinderella's charactor has altered? is the whole "being swept off your feet by a prince" ending even relevant to life today? and are children interested in that kind of ending anymore?
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreaciated, i just want to gather more of an insight into what other's think about Cinderella ( any adaptation)...
Thanks!
Kelly
